OUR CLUB
As Chairman of Lytchett Minster RFC, I would like to welcome you to the website of our rugby club. We have a proud tradition, which commenced in 1981, and continues to flourish, as a focal point within our local community.
Today we offer rugby training and coaching for young players from age 6 to 16 every Sunday morning, and for senior players, above the age of 17 on Tuesday.
Juniors
For our junior section, the main emphasis will always be fun, to encourage the children to want to come back to rugby every week. You will be surprised and pleased to see how the rugby ethos is quickly picked up by the children as they develop leadership, team spirit and a sense of fair play.
We are a volunteer club and as such it’s not only the children we want to involve, we encourage parents to take an active part in their children’s rugby by joining the coaching staff (training and courses are available), support staff (team manager, helping coaches, committee positions etc.). You will find, the more involvement you have, the more rewarding the experience for you, and your children.
Seniors
We currently run one adult male side each Saturday and an under 18 Colts side, so no matter what level of rugby you wish to play, we will be able to select you within a side that provides you with the sporting challenge and enjoyment you are looking for.
Training, led by our head coach Steve O’Shea and assisted by Simon Keen, is very much inclusive, irrespective of which side you represent on a Saturday, and we welcome any new players interested in joining the club, or recommencing their rugby playing careers
If you would like more information about the club, it should be found within the website, however please feel free to contact any club committee member, whose contact details can be found here.
We are always happy to welcome new members into the Lytchett family. So, come and join us and find out why we are such a special club.
Kind regards,
Jason Bowie
Club Chairman
