Match Report for Lytchett Minster 2 Vs Weymouth 2 on 22 Sep 2007
Lytchett Blow Weymouth Away
On a blustery day at Watery Lane, the manor men produced a strong performance to beat a Weymouth side who had won their opening league game of the season against Poole the previous week. The final score was 43 – 0.
Weymouth started well, but were soon on the back foot after Lytchett took them on in both the backs and the forwards. First half tries from Graham ‘Forrest’ Oliver, Colin Fatbrad and Simon ‘I’m Welsh Really!’ Haines took the game away from Weymouth and with Graham Badarm converting all 3 tries the half time score was 21 – 0.
Lytchett scored a further 4 tries in the second half with Graham ‘Forrest’ Oliver, Oz Goldchain, Andy ‘Treebeard’ Edwards and Steve Hubson all getting on the score sheet. Graham Badarm converted a further 2 scores, but had to leave the field with 20 minutes to go through injury. This allowed Oz Goldchain to take over the kicking duties for the final 2 tries. Goldchain missed both, keeping up his 100% record for this season. Last season this man could not miss a kick at goal. This season, he cant buy a conversion.
