Lytchett Minster hosted Ventnor from the Isle of Wight in a Hampshire league division 2 clash at the weekend and despite a spirited battle from the islanders they could not contain Lytchett’s 2 new Fijian centres and Lytchett ran out winners 70 points to seven and scoring 12 tries along the way.
The weather was perfect for running rugby and that’s exactly what the Lytchett team did. The strong Lytchett pack secured the ball for their exciting back line to rampage around the park.
Centre Semesa ‘Roko’ Rokoduguni scored 5 tries, centre Keasi ‘Kola’ Buakula scored 3 tries, full back Scott Ricketts scored 2 tries, winger James ‘Jonney’ English scored 1 try and second row Ray Murphy scored the only try for the forwards.
It was a game where Lytchett Minster just clicked and nobody would have beaten them on the day.
Another league win will see Lytchett safe in Division 2 for another year and going on their form of the second half of this season, they will be a team to be reckoned with next term.
