Lytchett Minster Triumph In Friendly
Lytchett Minster 1st XV hosted a team from Swanage and Wareham at the weekend and walked out victorious 43 – 10.
7 tries were scored in total with all the tries being scored by the Lytchett backs with the exception of a scramble a dive from front row forward Daz. Harry Boulter increased the total to 43 with 4 conversions.
Stand-off Harry Boulter, centre Les Moony and winger James ‘Jonny’ English all got a try a piece, but the star of the show was our new Fijian centre Roko who scored 3 tries and was duly rewarded for his outstanding effort in the bar after the match.
Lytchett must take this newly found form into the crunch league match against Ventnor this coming weekend. Ventnor have a single league win to their name this term and that was on the island against Lytchett. So revenge will be sweet and we could really do with the league points ourselves. With only 5 league matches to go this season; against Ventnor 9th Feb (H), Chineham 16th Feb (A), Millbrook 1st March (H), Eastleigh 8th March (A) and Nomads 12th April (H), Lytchett need to win some more matches to ensure their Hampshire Division II survival.
